About
André Musgrove is an underwater photographer, filmmaker, freediver and private dive guide born and based in The Bahamas. Trusted by leading networks and brands, his credits include National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Amazon Prime, the BBC, GoPro & Nautica—working both behind and in front of the camera. Raised in Bahamian waters, he brings deep local knowledge of world-class dive sites and marine-life hotspots to every production.

Known for concept-driven storytelling shot on breath-hold—a less-invasive approach that increases adaptability and enables intimate encounters with sharks, whales, and other large marine wildlife—André specializes in directing and photographing people and megafauna underwater. He has extensive experience with tiger, great hammerhead, bull, Caribbean reef, and lemon sharks. With more than 4,000 logged scuba dives and over two decades of freediving, spearfishing, and shark-diving experience, he leads efficient, safety-first units from pre-production and risk planning through in-water directing.

Equally comfortable on camera, André has been featured in multiple Discovery Channel Shark Week specials for his freediving, photography, and shark-interaction expertise. His professionalism, calm under pressure, and resourcefulness make him a strong asset to campaigns, documentaries, and high-stakes shoots in open-water environments.

André is an ambassador for the ocean nonprofits SeaLegacy and the Bahamas National Trust and is deeply committed to ocean conservation.
