Bottom Time (2025)

About The Film

'Bottom Time' plunges viewers into the abyss with legendary freediver William Trubridge, the AIDA world‑record holder for Constant Weight No Fins at 102 m/334 ft. Returning to Dean’s Blue Hole on Long Island, Bahamas—the very sinkhole where he first shattered that record—Trubridge descends once more toward the true “bottom,” revealing the razor‑thin margin between human limits and the void of the ocean.

Inside Look

The idea for this film started with William’s goal to freedive to the bottom of Dean’s Blue Hole. We shot it as a sponsored piece for Orca, who were kind enough to let me create a Director’s Cut version afterward. Because of the logistics and challenges of performing such a deep dive — with William on breath-hold and me filming on scuba — I built the creative concept around those limitations. The result is a film designed to make viewers feel like they’re on one long, continuous dive with him — almost as if they’re holding their breath alongside Will the entire time.
