I came up with the concept for this film on one of the rough days while Ariadna and I were shooting The Deepest Dance. The weather was bad, and the waves were too big for us to take the boat out. Since mangroves are always sheltered and don’t require a boat, we used the opportunity to create something simple — a concept film that’s more focused on emotion and performance than on the dive itself.
